{"id":2406,"date":"2014-11-14T10:21:55","date_gmt":"2014-11-14T10:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/?page_id=2406"},"modified":"2015-02-09T15:51:56","modified_gmt":"2015-02-09T15:51:56","slug":"march-2015-community-meeting-position-paper-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/march-2015-community-meeting-position-paper-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"March 2015 Community Meeting Position Paper Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tIn order to plan the agenda of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/march-2015-ar-community-meeting\/\">March 2015 AR Community meeting<\/a>&nbsp;to target&nbsp;the needs of the community, participants are&nbsp;<strong>HIGHLY ENCOURAGED<\/strong>&nbsp;to prepare and submit speaking abstracts and\/or&nbsp;position papers.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tThis page provides all information necessary for preparation and submission of position papers for the AR Community meeting.\n<\/p>\n<h1>\n\tScope<br \/>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tNew contributions specifically designed to inform the community about new developments, or topics not previously covered in our meetings of the community are welcome.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tPapers must be relevant to the topic of open interfaces and platforms for Augmented Reality. They may make recommendations regarding reuse of existing standards, make arguments for or against specific strategies, propose new approaches and, optionally, contain examples.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tAt the bottom of this page we provide links to pages where one can&nbsp;<a href=\"#Past Position Papers\">consult past position papers<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<h1>\n\tFormat<br \/>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tAllowed formats are HTML\/XHTML or PDF.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tAll papers must:\n<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n<li>\n\t\tbe 1 to 8 pages in length\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tbe written in English\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tinclude a title, names of authors, affiliation of authors on the top of first page\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\thave author contact e-mail in the title block (above) or as a footnote on page 1\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\thave page numbers and the words<br \/>\n\t\t&quot;AR Community Meeting&nbsp;March 24-25 2015&quot; in the footer of the page(s)\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>\n\tSubmission procedure<br \/>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tThere will be a two phase submission process in order to encourage early preparation.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\t<strong><u>Speaker Proposals and Abstracts:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;All those wishing to speak and\/or planning to submit a full position paper for the September 2014 AR Community meeting are invited to send a brief synopsis of 500 words on or before January 10, 2015. This will assist the Program Committee in preparation of a draft agenda, identifying and inviting speakers. Speaker notifications will be issued by e-mail by January 14, 2015. Prompt <a href=\"https:\/\/march-2015-ar-community-meeting.eventbrite.com\">registration<\/a> is encouraged&nbsp;to take advantage of the early registration fee.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\t<strong><u>Final position papers:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;Full position papers, or the URL of the position paper if it is published on the Web in HTML or PDF format, must be sent by February 20, 2015 via e-mail to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:cperey@perey.com\">Christine Perey<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tEach author of a paper which is on relevant topics will receive acknowledgement (notification of acceptance) e-mail from the meeting chair upon submission of a paper which the program committee deems as meeting the guidelines of the workshop.\n<\/p>\n<h1>\n\tDeadlines<br \/>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tAll final position papers must be submitted on or before 5 PM UK time Febraury 20, 2015.&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Notifications with suggested modifications will be made promptly (within one week of receipt of submission).&nbsp;<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Extensions may be granted on request.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<h1>\n\tTerms and conditions<br \/>\n<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">\n\tIn addition to speaker proposal and\/or position papers acceptance, meeting registration is mandatory to offset meeting costs. Registration details can be found on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/march-2015-ar-community-meeting\/\">main meeting page<\/a>.
