{"id":2595,"date":"2015-05-23T01:27:56","date_gmt":"2015-05-23T01:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/?page_id=2595"},"modified":"2015-10-30T12:48:05","modified_gmt":"2015-10-30T12:48:05","slug":"october-2015-ar-community-meeting","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/october-2015-ar-community-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"October 2015 AR Community Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\">community of people seeking to advance work towards open and interoperable AR<\/a>\u00a0met on October 6 and 7, 2015 in Seoul, Korea.<\/p>\n<p>You can review the agenda and the presentations by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/october-2015-ar-community-meeting-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\">this page<\/a>.\u200b\u00a0<a name=\"Goals\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Meeting Goals<\/h1>\n<p>The face-to-face community meetings are designed to promote\u00a0discussion among ecosystem stakeholders\u00a0for the development of open and interoperable AR content and experiences.<\/p>\n<p>In community-defined\u00a0and led sessions, our goals are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discover new barriers to interoperability and discuss strategies to minimize their impacts<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">Learn of continuing and newly initiated activities relevant to open and interoperable AR\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Discuss emerging challenges which may be addressed via standards or open source interfaces<\/li>\n<li>Plan for the community&#8217;s future by reviewing existing\u00a0activities, chartering new work\u00a0and scheduling\u00a0meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Augmented Reality\u00a0developers participating in the community are on the front lines to learn about and influence the direction of new tools. \u00a0Developers encountering obstacles to audience reach and end user adoption as a result of proprietary technology silos\u00a0are\u00a0encouraged to attend to learn about the open specifications and APIs under development, and to provide their opinions.<\/p>\n<p>All community members\u00a0are invited to suggest topics for the agenda.<a id=\"To Participate\" name=\"To Participate\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>To Participate in the AR Community Meeting<\/h1>\n<p>Those planning to participate in the October 2015 AR Community Meeting should review the documentation of\u00a0past meetings found via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/events\/\">this page<\/a>\u00a0(go to &#8220;Past Events&#8221; table and find AR Community Meetings).<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ARStandards\/join\/\">Joining the mailing lists for the community<\/a>\u00a0is also highly recommended.<\/p>\n<p>While this is an open meeting, advanced registration is required (see the next section).\u00a0\u00a0<a name=\"Registration\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Registration and Fees<\/h1>\n<p>To participate in the\u00a0AR Community Meeting, complete the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1JrlVEy\" target=\"_blank\">online registration form<\/a>\u00a0and pay fees.<\/p>\n<table style=\"line-height: 20.7999992370605px;
