Session 1<\/h1>\n

Title: Opening<\/p>\n

The meeting chair, Christine Perey, will open the meeting and set the stage for the meeting with a short presentation.<\/a><\/p>\n

Session 2<\/h1>\n

Title: SDO Presentations<\/p>\n

There are multiple international Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) and informal community federations seeking to increase AR reach (audience), flexibility and robustness of final services to end users. The domains of expertise, memberships, Intellectual Property policies and viewpoints of these organizations differ.<\/p>\n

The objective of session 2 is to permit each organization currently working separately to report on its progress since the March 2015\u00a0AR Standards Community Meeting or since its last report to the community members.<\/p>\n

We also seek to include organizations that have\u00a0not previously participated in AR Community meetings but that are\u00a0exploring the extension of existing (or development of new) standards to reduce AR adoption obstacles\u00a0to contribute a presentation during this session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Session 3<\/h1>\n

Title:\u00a0ISO Mixed and Augmented Reality Reference Model (slides<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Builders, providers and users of Augmented Reality-enabling components, systems, services or specifications need a common framework with which to describe, compare, contrast, and communicate their value propositions, architectural designs and implementation requirements.<\/p>\n

The ISO Mixed and Augmented Reality Reference Model defines the set of required modules and their minimum functions, the associated information content, and the information models that shall be provided and\/or supported by a compliant Mixed and Augmented Reality system. The Reference Model is designed to apply to systems independent of specific algorithms, implementation methods, computational platforms, display systems, and sensors or devices used.<\/p>\n

This session will serve to introduce the draft ISO Mixed and Augmented Reality Reference Model and to obtain feedback about its use and possible future extensions.<\/a><\/p>\n

Session 5<\/h1>\n

Title: Re-examining the Augmented Reality Developer Tools Landscape<\/p>\n

In 2015 the landscape of Augmented Reality developer tools has substantially changed: Qualcomm put in place licensing fees for\u00a0Vuforia, Apple acquired Metaio and DAQRI released\u00a0AR Toolkit as a fully Open Source system. There remain dozens of lesser known solutions.<\/p>\n

During this session\u00a0we will examine the new\u00a0Augmented Reality developer tools landscape and learn about new options. Christine Perey will present the AREA’s enterprise provider landscape<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sang Chul Kang, SK Telecom, will present the SKT AR Browser and developer tools<\/a>.<\/p>\n

MAXST will present about its AR platform, SDK and projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Participants will discuss the options developers\u00a0have considered, adopted or built internally.<\/p>\n
