Through\u00a0hundreds of projects, the benefits of delivering information to workers\u00a0in context have been validated. Nevertheless, there have\u00a0been very\u00a0few production deployments of AR in these settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Obstacles to enterprise AR adoption are varied and complex, involving many different groups with a wide range of constraints.\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">Customers\u00a0have many questions, including:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">Which use cases should we prioritize?<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-49 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ISMAR2017-Workshop-on-Enterprise-AR-Obstacles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/questions-300x256.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ISMAR2017-Workshop-on-Enterprise-AR-Obstacles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/questions-300x256.png 300w, https:\/\/www.perey.com\/ISMAR2017-Workshop-on-Enterprise-AR-Obstacles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/questions.png 699w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">What are the best data for AR experiences?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">What are the\u00a0strengths\u00a0and\u00a0pitfalls of AR tools and displays?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"s1\">Who should be included in project planning and execution<\/span><span class=\"s1\">?<\/span><\/li>\n<li>What metrics should we use to measure project outcomes?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshop will identify key obstacles facing AR adoption in 2017 and provide practical, data-driven measures and solutions to addressing obstacles identified by participants and members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/theAREA.org\">AR for Enterprise Alliance (AREA)<\/a>, the world\u2019s only membership-driven organization focusing on enterprise AR adoption.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For over a decade, enterprise Mixed and Augmented Reality has been in pilot and prototype\u00a0phase, largely led by research teams in large organizations.
