Unlike digital content perceived\u00a0by\u00a0the user within MAR display devices during\u00a0experience\u00a0presentation, the content of concern to the participants of this\u00a0workshop is linear,\u00a0time-stamped content that can be captured and then played\/reviewed and\u00a0otherwise treated as \u201cnormal\u201d digital video\u00a0content, at any time in the future.\u00a0This includes the possibility of multiple points of view (multiple cameras) and\u00a0multiple microphones. It can also include other metadata about the user&#8217;s geospatial position and orientation, hand positions, gaze direction, audio provided the user, photos taken or video viewed and captured. It\u00a0encompasses the media files in any\/all formats and associated metadata.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The topics and questions on which this workshop\u00a0will focus include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Components and\/or systems, and architectures for MAR Experience streaming\u00a0and capture<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Design, selection and integration of sensors for MAR\u00a0experience capture<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Local power and processor management during MAR experience capture<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Compression during or following MAR experience capture<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">MAR experience capture metadata (e.g., session dates, times, duration, geospatial position and orientation, hand positions, gaze direction, audio provided the user, photos taken or video viewed and captured)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Novel visual interactions with archives of captured MAR\u00a0experiences<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Network architectures for MAR experience capture and\u00a0transport<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Components and\/or systems for MAR Experience archive\u00a0storage, replication, management and access<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Benefits and drawbacks of distributed architectures for MAR\u00a0experience capture and management<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Policies and guidelines for MAR experience capture and\u00a0management<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This workshop focuses on approaches and system\u00a0architectures for content creation and management.
